### The Trouble in Sudan<\/p>\n
Sudan has been stuck in a terrible civil war for nearly two years. This has led to problems like food scarcity, health issues, and people having to leave their homes. Imagine 25 million people\u2014yes, more than half the population\u2014struggling to find enough to eat. Many of these people are children, and that’s really sad.<\/p>\n
### What’s Happening with Food? \ud83c\udf5e<\/p>\n
The situation with food is serious. Over 25 million people in Sudan are struggling with hunger. Famine, which is a severe scarcity of food, has been declared in several areas. What’s worse? 3.2 million children under the age of 5 are suffering from acute malnutrition. \ud83e\udd7a It\u2019s hard to imagine so many little tummies going hungry.<\/p>\n
### Health in Danger \ud83d\ude91<\/p>\n
The healthcare system in Sudan is in bad shape. Around 70-80% of hospitals where there’s conflict aren’t working anymore. This means people can’t get the treatment they need. Hospitals are crowded, don’t have enough resources, and sometimes even become targets in the war. Imagine needing medicine and not being able to get it. \ud83d\ude37<\/p>\n
### People Without Homes \ud83c\udfd8\ufe0f<\/p>\n
The conflict has forced more than 12 million people to leave their homes. In war zones, violence is heartbreaking, with reports of terrible events like violence against women and targeting of aid workers. It\u2019s not a safe place to be, and everyone deserves to feel safe.<\/p>\n
### How Can We Help?<\/p>\n
There is something we can do! The United Nations is asking for $6 billion to help fix the hunger issue in Sudan. Every little bit of help counts. As Leni Kinzli from the World Food Program says, \u201cEvery single delay means lives are lost.\u201d Let’s not wait. \ud83d\udc94<\/p>\n
