This is the reality for thousands of children in the Democratic Republic of Congo. \ud83d\udc94<\/p>\n<p>**What&#8217;s happening? \ud83d\udea8**<\/p>\n<p>A recent surge in conflict has displaced hundreds of thousands of people, including children, leaving them vulnerable to disease, malnutrition, and exclusion from education. \ud83e\udd15 1.6 million people, including 844,000 children, have been displaced since 2017. This is a crisis that requires our attention and action.<\/p>\n<p>**The Situation on the Ground \ud83d\udd34**<\/p>\n<p>In the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri, torrents of displaced families are in need of assistance. Many have lost their homes, livelihoods, and belongings. Living in makeshift camps with inadequate shelter and sanitation, the risk of disease and malnutrition is ever-present. \ud83d\udd2c<\/p>\n<p>\ud83c\udf2e Malnutrition is a major concern, with over 3,000 children under 5 dying each week due to severe malnutrition.
